Dejan Lovren has taken to Instagram to send an emotional message to Liverpool teammate Mo Salah.

The Croatian international, who has yet to play for the Reds so far this season, posted three photos of him and the Egyptian King warming up and play-fighting to his personal account.

He captioned the post:”If you have a friend with whom you can speak and open your heart at anytime…

“Trust me, you’re blessed.

“P.S. it’s not Mo… Joke aside, he is my brother 4 life”.

OPINION

If this doesn’t warm the cockles of you heart then there might be something wrong with you. Salah and Lovren seem to be absolutely inseparable, and it will no doubt please Liverpool fans to see this level of chemistry in the dressing room. The only real issue is that Lovren is still being heavily linked with a move away from the club, as per Football Insider. Were he to leave, it would no doubt hit Salah very hard, and without his mate in the dressing room, who’s to say how he would be affected? On a more serious note though, keeping Lovren is a smart idea, not only is he Salah’s BFF, but he also could prove to be a very useful covering option at some point this season. He may be behind Joel Matip and Joe Gomez at the moment, but this promises to be a long campaign for the Reds, and the more bodies they have, the better. Lovren still averaged 1.2 tackles and 3.9 clearances for the Reds last season, as per Whoscored, and if he can be that solid again then there is no reason why he can’t still be useful if required.
