OPINION
You will struggle to see a better set piece goal than Harry Wilson’s effort for Bournemouth against Manchester City on Sunday. The Liverpool loanee has made quite the start to life on the south coast, with two goals in his first two appearances, and what a hit this one was. You literally couldn’t ask for a ball to be put any further in the top corner, and the execution from the youngster was truly world class. Ederson could do nothing, and Kopites everywhere were quick to praise their starlet. There has always been suspicion that Wilson might be something of a highlights reel player, capable of the spectacular but not really offering enough in terms of consistency to be a top, top tier talent. The manner in which he has started his loan spell might soon put pay to that, however. Wilson registered five shots in his first 76 minutes for Eddie Howe’s side, as well as a pass success rate of 90.5%, as per Whoscored. Add that to his wizards on Sunday, and suddenly the 22-year-old is looking more and more like a Premier League player. Jurgen Klopp best be paying attention, because if this keeps up, Wilson has a big future at Anfield.
