PSV Eindhoven forward Donyell Malen has catapulted himself into the spotlight in the past year and has already caught the attention of Liverpool.

The Reds were reported by Calciomercato to hold an interest in the 20-year-old, who is suggested to be an admirer of Jurgen Klopp’s side.

Malen has been in prolific form in the early stages of this campaign, scoring 12 goals in 10 matches in all competitions for both club and country – opening his Holland account in the recent victory over Germany.

Calciomercato have also reported that AC Milan have joined the Reds in the hunt to sign the PSV forward, who continues to impress this season.

The Italian outlet claim on their website that the Serie A giants have collected information from the player’s agent, Mino Raiola, regarding a potential transfer.

It is reported that the Dutch club have set a price above £26.5million for the 20-year-old who has spearheaded the attack for PSV this season.

The young Dutch international has been in irresistible form this campaign, and it is no surprise to see some of Europe’s biggest clubs start to express an interest.

Liverpool must be careful to not let Malen slip away after they were reported to be interested in the 20-year-old. The suggestion that he admires them could definitely give them the upper hand in any possible future negotiations.

The 20-year-old has averaged four shots on goal per outing so far according to WhoScored, something which proves he is a constant danger in-and-around the 18-yard box.

His ability to create space to allow him opportunities for a shot on goal could make him a real danger for opposing sides in the Premier League and Liverpool must not let the 20-year-old slip away as other clubs look to try and sabotage any potential future move for the exciting forward.
