Club Brugge are interested in Liverpool winger Ryan Kent, according to journalist Neil Jones.

The Goal journalist revealed that the Belgian side are amongst several clubs keen on signing the 22-year-old before Monday’s European transfer deadline.

Jones reported on his personal Twitter account that the Reds want to sell Kent on a permanent deal, and would prefer that to any possible loan move.

The young winger was involved in Liverpool’s pre-season and made the trip to America with Jurgen Klopp’s side, featuring heavily after back-to-back loan spells at Bristol City and Rangers.

Kent was reported by Sky Sports to have attracted late interest from clubs in France as well as Belgium.

OPINION

A deadline day move is one that suits both Kent and Liverpool. The Reds are clearly keen to sanction an exit for the 22-year-old on Monday, with Jurgen Klopp not having plans to utilise the winger this season if the first month of the campaign is anything to go by. Despite featuring heavily in pre-season, the lightning winger has yet to be named in the senior squad for any Premier League fixture and was included in the under-23’s game against Tottenham at the beginning of August. With numerous clubs looking ready to get a deal over the line, the last question that needs resolving is where will Kent end up? The attacker has proved he has what it takes to succeed when given consistent minutes, scoring six goals and adding 10 assists in his 43 appearances for Rangers – stats that led to him picking up the PFA Scottish Young Player of the Year award. Kent has failed to make a Premier League appearance for the Reds, with his only senior appearance coming in the FA Cup.
