COMMENTARY
Liverpool may have lost 2-0 to Napoli on Tuesday night in order to get their Champions League campaign off to a disappointing start but that didn’t stop a section of Reds fans finding a reason to be cheery. Several Liverpool fans found joy from midfielder Fabinho’s display against Napoli with loads of supporters opting to heap praise on him via social media. A few Liverpool supporters showed their appreciation for the Brazilian by dubbing him Man of the Match and one fan even thought the midfield enforcer’s performance was flawless as he dubbed it a 10/10 display. It’s no surprise that Fabinho had Liverpool fans singing his praises as he was fantastic against Napoli. The midfielder completed 95% of his passes, won six of his seven tackles, registered one interception, won his only aerial duel of the match and even managed to complete two dribbles, as per the Tactical Times, in order to help the Reds push forward. Hopefully, Fabinho is able to carry his good form over into the Reds’ next outing as they face a potentially tricky task on Sunday when they face Frank Lampard’s Chelsea.

Liverpool’s toughest group stage game ends in defeat. The reds were not clinical enough, however were not helped by the awful decision that handed Napoli a penalty, which lead to the opening goal. Much improvement needed.

Good away performance let down by rare individual mistakes. Penalty was debatable but will be given in such circumstances. Both Adrian and Fabinho were excellent. Our away form in Europe has been poor in recent seasons. With 5 more games in the group we should be fine #LFC #UCL
