OPINION
As far as starts to the season go, losing Alisson halfway through their opening weekend clash with Norwich City was a less than preferable one for Liverpool. The Reds have had to call on veteran stopper Adrian as a replacement, and while the Spaniard has done a decent enough job of deputising, there have been a couple of moments that have left the Kop with their hearts in their mouths. His howler against Southampton could have been a whole lot worse if it hadn’t been for his colleagues holding on for a 2-1 win, while a rush of blood to the head against Arsenal saw him stranded in no man’s land and fortunate not to be undone by a Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang lob. As a result, the sooner Alisson is back between the sticks the better for everybody, and after the latest behind-the-scenes footage of the Brazilian stopper, it looks as if he could be well on his way to a return. Tweeted by Dave O’Connell, the video shows the 6’3″ giant [Transfermarkt] in light training, doing some light jogging in a gym at Melwood. It’s not a lot, but it’s a start, and it will fill the Kop with hope for a speedy comeback.
