Jimmy Bullard was blown away by Liverpool midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain during the win over Arsenal in the EFL Cup.

The former Premier League playmaker claimed Oxlade-Chamberlain’s goal was outrageous before hitting several random letters in order to show just how excited he was during the Reds’ match with Arsenal.

“This is outrageous @Alex_OxChambo oooopppphhh,” wrote Bullard on his verified Twitter account.

Oxlade-Chamberlain scored a memorable goal on Wednesday as the Reds’ went on to draw 5-5 with the Gunners, before the game ended up being decided by a penalty shoot-out.

OPINION

The Reds may have needed a penalty shoot-out in order to continue their journey in the EFL Cup at Arsenal’s expense, but that shouldn’t take anything away from the team’s performance. Granted you could argue that both sides should have been defensively better, as both were guilty of mistakes at the back, but given that it was one of the most entertaining games of football for while, you can’t help but sit back and applaud. One player who did manage to stand out for the right reasons was Oxlade-Chamberlain. While it did take the 26-year-old some time to grow into the game, which could be a result of his limited minutes this season, his beautiful goal in the 58th minute was worthy of any highlight reel. It’s also wasn’t just Oxlade-Chamberlain show-stealing goal that saw him catch the eye, but once he got going, he was a lively threat for the Reds. The attacking midfielder completed five dribbles against the Gunners, as per WhoScored, which was more dribbles than any other player on the pitch managed. With that in mind if Jurgen Klopp is looking for a new driving force for his Reds midfield on a regular basis, then Oxlade-Chamberlain will surely be called upon.
