Liverpool are confident that the value of Serbian midfielder Marko Grujic will sky-rocket to around £40 million by next year, according to Football Insider

The 23-year-old is currently out on loan at Hertha Berlin, with the Reds monitoring his progress closely.

It is understood that while Liverpool are in no rush to sell the 6’3″ ace, Jurgen Klopp still believes that he needs to smoothen out certain aspects of his game to become a serious challenger for a starting berth at Anfield.

But based on his current performances though, the club expect his current valuation of around £20 million to double over the next 12 months.

OPINION

Grujic has done fantastically well over in Germany. As mentioned in the report from Football Insider, Hertha’s manager last season Pal Dardai labelled him “by far the best midfielder I’ve seen in my time at the club”, with the Hungarian having played in Berlin for 20 years prior to taking up a role in the dugout. Already this season Grujic has hit two goals in seven matches in the Bundesliga, as well as registering 1.7 successful dribbles, a pass completion rate in excess of 80%, and a Whoscored rating of 7.06. The truth is that he probably is just a little way off being at a high enough standard to feature every week for the Reds, but he is learning and growing all the time, and he has a really good chance of becoming a really important player for them, if he plays his cards right.
