Harry Redknapp has claimed that Tottenham will not be able to halt Liverpool’s momentum when the two sides meet on Sunday.

The Reds go into the game unbeaten in the Premier League, and even after dropping their first points of the season against Manchester United last time out, Redknapp believes that they will have too much for Spurs.

Speaking to Bet Victor, he said: “A 5-0 win over Red Star Belgrade in the Champions League on Tuesday has certainly given Spurs a huge boost after results in the PL have been very disappointing of late.

“Harry Kane was in good form as he bagged a brace as did strike partner Heung Min Son.

“However, a trip to Merseyside is a big step up in class and Tottenham have too many question marks hanging over them to derail the Liverpool express.”

OPINION

At the moment, you would have to be mad to bet against Liverpool in any match. Last weekend was a disappointment, of course, and Man United actually did a pretty good of quelling the Reds’ usual attacking verve, but if Jurgen Klopp can get his side operating at anything close to full throttle, they should have enough to beat a Spurs side who have won just three out of their opening nine matches in the league this term. A big factor could be the return of Mo Salah, who missed last Sunday with an ankle knock. He was back in midweek, however, and scored in the 4-1 win over Genk, as well as making two successful dribbles and a key pass, as per Whoscored. If he can find his groove, he will give the Reds a whole new dimension, and you’d have to fancy them to take all three points in this one.
