Arnold Schwarzenegger admitted that he liked Liverpool and blasted them for at times losing stupid games ahead of their clash against Tottenham.

The Hollywood megastar claimed that momentum was currently with Jurgen Klopp’s side but revealed that he believes they’re a side who drop the ball before surging again.

“I like Liverpool,” Schwarzenegger told BBC Sport.

“They are not always successful but the momentum is there right now.

“Sometimes, and I don’t know why, they lose some stupid games then they come right back again. When they say ‘I’ll be back’, they are back.”

Schwarzenegger then predicted the Reds’ clash with Tottenham and shared that he thought Klopp’s team would win Sunday’s game 2-1.

OPINION

As celebrity fans go, having Schwarzenegger on board is a feather in Liverpool’s cap as everyone in the world practically knows who he is. The 72-year-old has starred in some of the most iconic films over the years, see the Terminator franchise for more information, and has even been successful outside of the movie business as he was once the Governor of Californa, so how can people not know him? Aside from being star-struck over Schwarzenegger talking about Liverpool, it’s worth noting he makes a good point about the club. In recent seasons the Reds have been so close to major honours only to lose unexpectedly and end up kicking themselves. For example, Brendan Rodgers’ Liverpool side had a golden chance to win the Premier League, and everyone knows what happened there. Yet after winning the Champions League last season, while finishing runners-up in the league and with the club currently sitting top of the table six points clear of their closest rivals Manchester City, surely Liverpool can truly break old habits and actually be able to call themselves Premier League champions once this season ends.
