OPINION
Liverpool came crashing back down to earth on Sunday when they travelled to Old Trafford. They were simply outplayed by their fierce rivals, Manchester United, and they couldn’t get their free-flowing game going consistently enough to cause the Red Devils problems. Jurgen Klopp named Jordan Henderson in the heart of midfield, and the Reds’ captain was very poor, as he continued to float around the pitch making very little impact in and out of possession. In massive games, it is vital that you do the simple things right and well, and Henderson made a number of sloppy passes, instantly putting his side in danger at times. The 29-year-old was a bystander at times in the game, with Marcus Rashford and Daniel James tearing him and his teammates to shreds with their sheer pace on the counter-attack. Many Liverpool fans took to Twitter to blast Henderson for his performance, with the majority calling him to be dropped, and some even labelled the England international headless.
