Liverpool midfielder Marko Grujic produced yet another extremely encouraging performance on loan at Bundesliga side Hertha Berlin on Friday night. He played the full 90 minutes as his team eased to a 3-1 victory over Fortuna Dusseldorf, looking tremendous in the middle of the park. Much of what he did well was catalogued in the below tweet from BT Sport’s official Twitter account. The Serbian international looks to be a real talent, capable of winning the ball back seemingly at will, as well as having quick feet and boasting an economical use of the ball. He’s not rapid, but he has enough pace and skill to go past people when he wants to rampage forward. The statistics, as well as the video, tell you how effective he was on Friday. As per WhoScored.com, the 23-year-old came away from the game having made 61 passes, the third most of any Hertha player. His pass success rate? Only 90.2%. Meanwhile, he had two shots, made one key pass and embarked on five dribbles. Defensively, too, he excelled. Grujic made a tackle, an interception and four clearances. Truly, this is a young man to watch, and he may in fact end up replacing James Milner, as the fans seem to want him to do.
