OPINION

Sadio Mane’s class is limitless. He was without doubt the best player on the pitch on Saturday when Liverpool won 2-1 against Leicester to preserve their 100 per cent start to the Premier League season. Mane scored the opening goal and won a late penalty, that was converted by James Milner, for Jurgen Klopp to get one over on Brendan Rodgers on the Leicester manager’s first return to Anfield. According to stats by WhoScored, Mane was the highest-rated player on the pitch on Saturday. Surprisingly, the Senegal international completed more tackles [4] than any other Liverpool player on the pitch while he also kept the ball so well that he was not dispossessed once and completed 81 per cent of his passes – better than what Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah managed. Mane is in sensational form and there does not seem to be a team that is capable of stopping him when he is on top of his game.
