COMMENTARY
Some Liverpool fans couldn’t help but drool over Ajax attacker Hakim Ziyech for his display against Chelsea on Wednesday night in the Champions League. The Blues may have beaten the Dutch side 1-0 due to a late Michy Batshuayi goal, but it seems Ziyech did enough for his side in order to have a section of Liverpool supporters dreaming about him. The 26-year-old carved out enough space to have three shots at goal, more than any other Ajax player, made two key passes and notably bamboozled Chelsea on two occasions when he dribbled through their midfield with ease (Source: WhoScored), so it’s easy to see why he caught the eye. Ziyech would be a fantastic player to see arrive at Anfield, but then again, would he get enough minutes in Jurgen Klopp’s side in order to keep him happy? The attacker has reguarly featured as a right-winger for Ajax this season and considering that appears to be Mohamed Salah’s preferred position, would he be good enough to oust one of the Reds’ big-names from the first-team? Surely not.
