There are not many better strikers on the planet right now than Red Bull Salzburg’s Erling Braut Haaland.

Haaland just can’t stop scoring in all competitions, and it is no surprise that there are clubs lining up to secure his services.

The 19-year-old has scored 17 goals in 12 appearances in the Austrian Bundesliga and Champions League combined this season and is catching the attention of clubs such as Liverpool.

Gazzetta Dello Sport journalist Nicolo Schira reported on his personal Twitter account on Wednesday evening that Manchester United sent scouts to watch Haaland against Napoli in the Champions League.

Schira also claimed that Liverpool and Juventus were monitoring the young forward, and they were all bound to be impressed as he managed to score twice in a 3-2 defeat in Austria.

The Daily Mail reported in October that Manchester City had also joined the race to sign the 19-year-old, who had been valued at £50million by the Austrian club.

It is going to be a massive battle to secure the wonderkid’s signature going forward, with a number of the biggest clubs in the world all going toe-to-toe for Haaland.

The Champions League is always a massive test for any youngster, but Haaland has taken to the competition like a duck to water and is already proving that he could make the step up to one of Europe’s top leagues by scoring against both Liverpool and Napoli.

Liverpool must go all out to beat their rivals to the signature of the young Norwegian international, who would be the perfect player to provide more competition to their prolific front three.

The Reds are surely facing an uphill battle to secure Halaand’s services, and it will be whoever can convince the forward they are the best fit for him who will manage to complete a move for the 19-year-old – something Jurgen Klopp must make sure it is his side he chooses.
