OPINION
As per journalist James Pearce’s personal Twitter account, Liverpool attacker Mohamed Salah had a scan on the injury he suffered against Leicester City at the weekend and it showed no major damage. However, it’s thought that currently it’s too early to say whether he will be fit to face Manchester United next time out. Obviously the Egyptian international will not be going away with his country, but will instead undergo treatment on this problem. So he’s going to have two weeks to try and recuperate from what is said to be a minor issue. With that said, it sounds pretty hopeful that he should be fit and firing for the trip to Old Trafford. However, the Liverpool fans don’t seem too concerned. They clearly feel that now is the time for manager Jurgen Klopp to finally give playmaker Xherdan Shaqiri a chance this season. The Swiss star has been hampered by injuries and lack of game time this term, but the supporters are evidently still behind him.
