Robbie Fowler raved about Liverpool following their start to the season but claimed they haven’t reached the heights of what they can do yet.
The Reds legend admitted that Jurgen Klopp deserves so much credit for his side being ‘incredible’ and ‘on fire’ currently before adding it was a scary thought that they were capable of more.
Fowler claimed that Liverpool could perform at an even higher level after acknowledging that he had heard people saying the Reds are delivering great performances.
“You’ve got to give Jurgen so much credit, Liverpool are just brilliant. He’s got them fit and on fire, they just look an incredible team,” Fowler told Alan Brazil on talkSPORT.
“And people are saying they’re watching great performances, but Liverpool haven’t really reached the heights of what they can do – it’s a scary thought!”

Fowler is right, it is scary to think Liverpool aren’t playing at their maximum level as they’re currently cruising in the Premier League. The Reds currently sit top of the Premier League, eight points clear of second-place Leicester City after 12 games played. Klopp’s team also beat arguably the club’s closest title rivals on Sunday by defeating Manchester City 3-1 at Anfield on Sunday, so you do think they have effectively already put at least one hand on the trophy despite it still only being November. If Liverpool can take their performances up a notch, then not only will their opponents be terrified about facing them, but surely it will mean trophies will be added to the cabinet at the end of the season. The Reds are in so many competitions still, so who knows how many pieces of silverware Klopp could end up getting his hands on. The German boss just has to make sure he utilises his whole squad to cope with the demanding fixture list.
