Jamie Redknapp has named Liverpool duo Andy Robertson and Fabinho in his Premier League team of the week.
The pair both starred in the Reds’ 3-1 win over Manchester City on Sunday, a win that helped their side open up an eight point lead at the top of the table.
Fabinho scored the opener, while Robertson laid on the assist for Mo Salah’s second.
And their efforts have been recognised by Redknapp, who has seen fit to include them in his best XI of the weekend’s action in a column for the Daily Mail.

Credit where credit is due, it’s rare to see either of these players have a bad week, but they both turned up when it mattered most on Sunday. Fabinho has been getting all sorts of praise for his man of the match display against the champions, so let’s instead look at Robertson’s display in more detail. Aside from his assist, he played two key passes, made four clearances, a tackle, an interception, and had just one unsuccessful touch over the course of a hard-fought 90 minutes at Anfield, as per Whoscored. This was as calm, collected, and masterful a performance as you’d expect from the Scot, and this level of brilliance is quickly becoming the norm for him. In many ways, he is one of the more understated members of this gargantuan Liverpool side, but make no mistake, he is as crucial as they come for Jurgen Klopp.
