Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho wants to leave the Bundesliga club amid plenty of interest in his services, according to the Daily Mail.

The newspaper claims that the 19-year-old is unhappy in Germany due to a number of different incidents with Lucien Favre’s side. He was recently fined £86,000, while he was substituted after just 36 minutes against Bayern Munich last time out.

The report claims that Liverpool are the latest team to show an interest in the England international, who has achieved a combined 12 goals and assists this season for club and country [Source: WhoScored.com].

The Reds’ fierce rivals Manchester United are also said to have entered the race for the young starlet.

OPINION

This is exciting news for Liverpool supporters. They won’t be the only ones in for Sancho, the above report makes that abundantly clear, but if the Reds can manage to snare the former Manchester City man then they would have secured for themselves one of the very best young talents in world football. Sancho has been producing at the top level for two or three years now, despite his amazing youth. This season has been rather tricky, with different incidents making things difficult for him at Dortmund, but he is still producing extremely well on the pitch. The statistics demonstrate as much. As per WhoScored.com, the teenager is averaging 1.3 shots, 1.2 key passes and a mammoth 2.5 successful dribbles per game, to go with the goals and assists tally listed above. He really has emerged as one of the premier talents in Europe, and if Liverpool can add him then he would take Jurgen Klopp’s side to a whole other level.
