Alan Shearer has named a quartet of Liverpool players in his Premier League team of the season so far.
The Newcastle United legend included Trent Alexander-Arnold, Andy Robertson, Fabinho, and Sadio Mane in his XI.
Shearer shared his team via the Premier League’s official Twitter account on Monday afternoon, with the Reds currently eight points clear at the top of the table and still unbeaten.

OPINION
To be fair, Shearer probably could have included 11 Liverpool players in his starting lineup and nobody would have really batted an eyelid. Jurgen Klopp’s men have been in wonderful form this season, and they looked every inch champions in waiting. And while there have been many standout performers, Sadio Mane has really caught the eye. The Senegalese international has arguably been the Reds’ most impressive attacking threat so far this term, and his average of 2.3 shots on goal, 1.9 key passes, and 1.3 dribbles per game, as per Whoscored, show that he can be a real danger in all aspects of the final third. If he can continue his current form, and you wouldn’t bet against him, then there’s no reason to suggest that he can’t kick on and challenge for the golden boot, and some end of year gongs too.
