Everybody knows the link between Liverpool fans and Kylian Mbappe.
You can almost guarantee on every Twitter post to do with the Reds, some of the Anfield faithful will be there demanding they sign the Paris Saint-Germain wonderkid.
Even after Liverpool won their court case against New Balance to be able to sign with Nike, the replies were flooded with people expecting the signature of the 20-year-old – now that is dedication.
They could soon be about to get their wish too after it was revealed that the signing of Mbappe might not be as unachievable as one might think.
It has been reported by El Desmarque that Liverpool are interested in bringing Mbappe to Anfield in their quest to remain as one of the best teams in the world after winning the Champions League.
The Spanish outlet claim on their website that Jurgen Klopp’s side would be able to table a ‘very juicy offer’ for the French sensation, in an attempt to rival Real Madrid.
El Desmarque have reported that the offer in question would be around £215.4million, and the Reds would automatically make him the highest-paid footballer on the planet.
This seems crazy on paper, but if Liverpool were able to pull this off it would be a masterclass in the transfer window, and the Reds should pull out all of the stops to get a deal over the line.
Mbappe has already been involved in 12 goals this season in Ligue 1 and the Champions League combined after only making 10 appearances, and there is no doubting that he is the hottest property in the word, never mind Europe.
The 20-year-old has been averaging 4.1 shots on goal per game according to WhoScored, and although the French League isn’t as competitive as the Premier League, that is still a great average in anybody’s book.
Liverpool could pull off a masterclass with a monster offer for Mbappe, and Reds’ fans could be about to get their wish.
