Liverpool forward Rhian brewster could be in the middle of a tug-of-war over his services in the January transfer window.

The 19-year-old has not been given the chances he would have been wishing for at the beginning of the season, and a number of different sides have been linked with a move.

Brewster has only started twice for the senior side in cup games against MK Dons and Arsenal but has failed to find the back of the net, and Jurgen Klopp looks set to give him the chance to earn more minutes elsewhere.

The Daily Mail has reported that Aston Villa, Crystal Palace, and Leeds United are all interested in signing Brewster on loan fr the second half of the season.

BBC pundit and former Leeds forward Noel Whelan has been blown away by the potential of the Reds’ starlet potentially moving to Elland Road.

“The whisper I’m hearing is that Brewster is a Leeds target,” he told Football Insider.

“That would be a really exciting signing.

“If we lose him, we have to bring someone in. I think we would need two more strikers. One or two is not enough for a long Championship season.

“If someone gets injured you’re stuffed. Patrick Bamford doesn’t have a great injury record, so we could need to get two in. Brewster would be ideal, as he’s quick, young and ready to explode.”

Given how excited it made Whelan about the potential of Brewster linking up with Leeds, it seems like West Yorkshire could be the ideal place for the youngster to learn his trade.

Working under someone like Marcelo Bielsa has seen Arsenal youngster Eddie Nketiah shine this season, and should he be recalled in January, Brewster would be the ideal replacement.
