All eyes will soon switch to the January transfer window for Liverpool, but it will be hard to judge whether they’ll be bringing in many new faces to Anfield.

It could be a case of who could end up leaving the club rather than who is going to be arriving through the doors in Merseyside for Jurgen Klopp to utilise in the second half of the season.

The German has no need to make drastic changes over the winter period, with his side still unbeaten in the Premier League and holding an eight-point gap to their nearest rivals Leicester City.

That counts for both incomings and outgoings, with Klopp having found the perfect blend for success during his years in charge of the Reds.

Nicolo Schira reported on Monday evening that Galatasaray are targeting Reds’ winger Xherdan Shaqiri in the January transfer window.

The reliable journalist revealed on his personal Twitter account that the Turkish giants are targeting attacking reinforcements, and have made a proposal to Liverpool to take the Switzerland international on loan until the end of the season.

Liverpool should think twice before even considering any potential exit for Shaqiri, who still has a big part to play at the club despite not featuring as much as he will have like too at the beginning of the season.

The 28-year-old has struggled with some injury problems at the beginning of the campaign and has only completed 11 minutes in the Premier League.

Shaqiri still has a massive role to play at Anfield, and if he could replicate last season’s numbers of being involved in nine goals despite only starting 11 games – Klopp would be delighted.

The problem any forward faces at Liverpool is that they will find it very difficult to replace any of the prolific front three, but Shaqiri has proven himself as a great replacement to have in the background, and the Reds should slam the door shut on any potential exit.
