It can be difficult to win as a football manager sometimes. With everything you say being put under microscopic levels of scrutiny, every word that comes out of your mouth has to be carefully planned and executed with precision. Even then, half the time, fans will assume you’re trying to cover something up, and get all conspiratorial on you, claiming that you actually meant something else instead. And that appears to be what has happened with Jurgen Klopp’s latest comments on Jadon Sancho. The Borussia Dortmund winger has been touted as a possible target for Liverpool for some time now, as per journalist Jan Aage Fjortoft. Now, Klopp has come out and argued that, in fact, he has “no clue” as to where these reports have come from, as per the Liverpool Echo, but that hasn’t stopped supporters from cranking up the old rumour mill. And it’s easy to see why they would be so desperate to land Sancho. After all, this is a player who has a higher Whoscored rating than Roberto Firmino and Mo Salah so far this season. He is a serious player, and one that would suit the high intensity attacking style of the Reds down to the ground. Whether or not Klopp is actually interested, however, remains to be seen.
