Liverpool may be open to sanctioning the sale of midfielder Marko Grujic in the summer but would only be willing to do business if a club offers a fee in the region of £15m to £20m. That is according to The Athletic journalist James Pearce on Twitter (@JamesPearceLFC, via @AnfieldEdition).

The 23-year-old is on loan at Hertha Berlin this season, where he has scored three goals and provided two assists in 22 appearances for the Bundesliga side. Despite being Jurgen Klopp’s first signing as Liverpool manager four years ago, he is already on his third loan spell away from Anfield, having also spent time at Red Star Belgrade and Cardiff and has managed a paltry 14 first team appearances for the Reds.

Grujic earned high praise from Pal Dardai, his former manager in the German capital, who hailed him as Hertha’s best midfielder in the last 20 years (as per Bundesliga.com). He has clocked up almost 100 senior appearances during his multiple loan spells and could fill the breach that Adam Lallana is likely to leave if, as anticipated by the Liverpool Echo, the 31-year-old moves on once his Anfield contract expires in the summer.

These Reds fans on Twitter hope that the club will give the Serbian midfielder a chance next season rather than accepting an offer to sell him outright:

Do you think Grujic deserves a chance at Liverpool next season? Do you see him as the ideal replacement for Lallana if the current Reds midfielder leaves in the summer? Comment below with your views!
