As reported by the Liverpool Echo, midfielder Naby Keita has returned to training ahead of the Reds’ upcoming fixtures in the Premier League and Champions League.
Jurgen Klopp is hopeful that the 25-year-old will be fit to feature against Bournemouth tomorrow and Atletico Madrid next Wednesday after a minor hip injury forced him to miss the defeats to Watford and Chelsea over the past week (as per Liverpool Echo). Following the Guinean’s resumption of training, Liverpool supporter @GrizzKhan on Twitter asked followers if they think Keita should start both, one or none of the next two matches.
Naby Keita back in full training ahead of the two most important games of the season ..would you play him in both ? #LFC.

The midfielder has had multiple injuries since coming to Anfield in 2018, missing the conclusion of last season due to a groin injury and being ruled out for 10 games with a torn muscle bundle at the start of the current campaign. He also missed most of January because of a groin strain and has featured only intermittently for the Reds in 2019/20, with his 18 appearances in all competitions featuring a mere four Premier League starts.
The topic of Keita’s participation in the next two games divided opinion among these Liverpool fans on Twitter, with some believing he is a key player and others expressing concern over his injury record – one fan disparagingly said that the Guinean is “made of Weetabix”:
Yes. He is the key to unlock Atletico.

Yes, literally yes regardless of how he plays in the first game, the fact he can dribble from midfield and do through balls means we need him in there

Yes as we’ve lost the recent games he’s missed

I keep getting told we’ll win as many games as is necessary to tie up the title no problem. So why is Bournemouth the biggest game of the season? PS. No, with his injury record you don’t play him twice in four days.

How many times I heard this?
He doesn’t start both games for me— Koven Pillay (@koven_pillay) March 5, 2020
