In an article for the Liverpool Echo on Monday, journalist Reece Chambers identified Diogo Jota as a player that Jurgen Klopp could seek to target as a potential signing for Liverpool, claiming that the Wolves winger could be “the next Sadio Mane”.
That piece prompted Empire of the Kop on Twitter (@empireofthekop) to ask followers if they would like to have the 23-year-old at Anfield and how much they would be willing to spend, with some Reds fans having rather polarised views of the Portugal international.
Diogo Jota linked with a future move to Anfield – would you have him, Reds?! And how much would you spend?! ?? pic.twitter.com/9OL4lwVlPb

Jota has found the net 15 times for Wolves this season, their second highest scorer after Raul Jimenez, along with providing six assists for Nuno Espirito Santo’s team. He registered hat-tricks in two Europa League games and his match average of 2.4 shots is marginally higher than the 2.3 of fellow left winger Mane, who has a slightly superior scoring return of 18 goals from the current campaign.
These Liverpool fans on Twitter seemed split on the thought of Jota lining out for the Reds – some Kopites would gladly welcome him while others aren’t convinced, with one fan saying that he would rather have Jimenez at Anfield:
£40m he’s v good and underrated

Would prefer Raul Jimenez, but his age is a factor, could have been perfect backup for Bobby
