Reds Player Sale Halted by Manager Search

|

According to the Daily Mirror, no Liverpool player will be allowed to leave Anfield until a new manager is in place at the Merseyside club. The club have dismissed claims that there have been offers for Yossi Benayoun and Fernando Torres and have made it clear that they have not had an approach for any of their players. It was also emphasised that any departures would have to be agreed to by the incoming manager. The spokesman also stated that the Anfield club would not be rushed into appointing a successor to Rafa Benitez. Former boss Benitez was unveiled as Inter Milan manager yesterday and advocated Kenny Dalglish for the position as manager:

“No one knows the club better than Dalglish, and he would be perfect there. He wants the job and in my opinion he should get it.”
