The People are reporting that Aston Villa have told Ashley Young that they will sell the winger if he doesn’t sign a new contract before the start of next season. Young’s deal ends next summer and Villa are unwilling to let the 25 year old run down his contract so he can leave for free on the Bosman ruling. The Birmingham club will demand £12million for the player, sparking interest from Manchester United and Liverpool. The paper believes however that Young’s preferred destination will be Alex Ferguson’s Manchester United.
