Liverpool have always coped admirably after high profile departures from the club. The best example of this was when Kevin Keegan was replaced by Kenny Dalglish in 1977. Even though the Reds have nearly always found good replacements for those who’ve departed, it is always difficult at the time to see how we could replace these players with equally good quality.
