Liverpool strikerLIVERPOOL have included their controversial striker Luis Suarez in their 26 man squad for their trips to south-east Asia and Australia, despite the player’s insistence on leaving the club.

The 26 year old will be unable to feature for Liverpool in their first 6 Premiership games next season as he is serving a 10 match ban for biting Chelsea midfielder Branislav Ivanovic, and the Uruguay international has recently expressed his displeasure about playing in England.

Despite these proclamations, the Reds have repeatedly insisted that Suarez is not for sale, and have already rejected a £30 million bid from Arsenal.

Suarez has been included in the squad for Liverpool’s pre-season tour although he will not be joining his team-mates until roughly halfway through the trip, having been granted additional leave after representing Uruguay in the Confederations Cup.

Liverpool’s managing director Ian Ayre, speaking of the situation with Suarez, said: “I don’t think anyone will be against him at this point, he only needs to do what he did last season and everyone will feel he’s in the right place and he should carry on getting the support that he deserves and gets from Liverpool.

“This is an ambitious young player, he has talked in the media about wanting to play in the Champions League and all these things. It is our job to convince Luis that this is the right place to achieve those things.

“We’d love to see Luis put on a Liverpool shirt for this season and beyond and we hope that once he gets back things will settle down.”

Hey all, I'm 17 years old and I've only been writing sports articles for a couple of months. I'm an aspiring journalist living in the Anfield area (about 5 minutes from the stadium, seriously, I can hear the roar of the Kop from my house!) I've been a lifelong supporter along with my entire family (except one Uncle, but we don't need to talk about that) and I've followed the Reds through the good and the bad times - and there's been a lot of both. I recently got accepted into college and shall be taking a Level 3 Extended Diploma in Journalism, with this hopefully being the first step towards a full time career in journalism.

Liverpool should forcefully keep Suarez whether he wants to go or not. He will still give us 100% on the pitch and whether we like it or not is irreplaceable. If a £35-40 mil bid arrives from Real Madrid then there will almost be no choice but to sell, however, selling him to Arsenal would be suicidal to our ambition to break into the top 4. Arsenal are the most realistically catchable team , and by giving them Suarez , he will almost certainly keep them in the top 4 probably at our expense

suarez should stay to help lfc get in to big four while remember the support given to him during his problem

  • Raam says:

Yes,the tour should open his eyes just how big LFC is around the globe. RMadrid might look like gods financially, and in papers..some English clubs might look fancy to his view but there’s absolutely no club can match the support we have.

Its obvious dat a tree can not make a forest; if Suarez wants to go let him go, he is not bigger dan liverpool.

please liverpool fc i want you to keep my suarezfor me. he is a big treat for premiere clubs do not make any sales for him

Suarez should already know that liverpool are in transformation and things are going on well, what affected our performance was our first leg last season, but looking at the second leg, things have changed, we can fight for top four with his help and give him CL come next season. All we ask is one more season from him, for his fans at least…
