Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool will return to Anfield this evening for a Capital One Cup tie against Premier League new-boys, Bournemouth on the back of a third draw in a row under the new manager.
Liverpool were impressive, in spells, against Southampton and Christian Benteke scored the first Premier League goal of Klopp’s reign but a late equalizer from Sadio Mane meant that the German will have to wait a bit longer for his first Liverpool win.
Many are of the assumption that that’ll come tonight, against a Bournemouth side that got well and truly stuffed at home to Spurs at the weekend but with Liverpool’s extensive injury list, and the games coming thick and fast, there are going to be some necessary changes. Particularly with a very crucial game away to Chelsea on Saturday morning.
Regardless of how Liverpool lineup, the Reds are likely to be considered strong favourites. But putting the favourites tag into action is often a lot harder than it seems.
