michael_ngoo12th Dec – Liverpool 1 – 1 Blackburn Rovers (FA Premier Academy League) – In a frustrating match for both Ngoo and the Reds, Liverpool could only come away with a draw despite probably deserving a win. The 6ft 4 striker nearly made a half chance for himself during the first as his aerial threat played havoc in the Rovers defence but he had a golden opportunity from a cross in the second half and somehow headed over the top of the goal after Thomas Ince had put in a pin-point delivery. Liverpool forced the play early after the interval and Ngoo should have again done much better as he overhit a simple ball which would have seen Chris Buchtmann clean through on goal. Ngoo was substituted for Ellison mid way through the second half and his replacement Ellison scored the equalising score after a well taken shot.

30th Nov – Liverpool 2 – 0 Wolves (FA Youth Cup) – Ngoo started the match as Liverpool got off to a good start in their campaign to reach another FA Youth Cup final. Goals from Andre Wisdom and Krisztian Adorjan wrapped up victory for Liverpool’s U-18s. Ngoo made two good contributions to the match, including a great back-heel to send John Flanagan away on goal as well as skewing wide after being in a good position before the Reds sealed victory through Adorjan.

21st Nov – Liverpool 1 – 3 Manchester United (FA Premier Academy League) – Ngoo was an unused substitute as rivals Man U gave Rodofo Borrell’s side their eighth defeat of the seaon. Two goals from Will Keane and one from Nick Ajose made the points safe for the Red Devils and sub Adam Pepper’s late consolation was not enough to salvage anything from the game.

14th Nov – Liverpool 1 – 2 Wolves (FA Premier Academy League) – Another last minute winner, condemned the youth side to another defeat. Tall striker Michael Ngoo came on for James Ellison in the second half but could not score as Wolves ran out 2-1 winners.

7th Nov – Liverpool 1 – 0 Crewe Alexandra (FA Premier Academy League) – James Ellison scored the only goal of the game as Liverpool got back on track after the derby loss to Everton. Ngoo came on as a substitute in the second half and hit the woodwork with a great strike on goal.

31st Oct – Liverpool 0 – 2 Everton (FA Premier Academy League) – A late show from Everton’s youngsters saw Rodolfo Borrell lose his first mini-derby as U18 coach. Striker Ngoo, who had scored two great goals in the convincing win over Blackburn last time out, had to settle for a place on the bench, and came on for the last 5 minutes as Everton clinched victory with goals from Danny Murphy and Conor McAleny late on.

17th Oct – Liverpool 3 – 0 Blackburn Rovers (FA Premier Academy League) – Young striker Ngoo scored his first goals for Liverpool Under-18s as Rodolfo Borrell’s men were convincing winners over table toppers Blackburn. Ngoo bagged a brace during the match, taking both goals very well and certainly showed the great potential that many believe he possesses.

10th Oct – Liverpool 0 – 1 Bolton Wanderers (FA Premier Academy League) – Despite dominating possession during the match, Rodolfo Borrell’s side lacked creativity to open up Bolton’s defence. A fifth minute penalty by Chris Stokes sealed victory for the young Trotters and Michael Ngoo came on as a substitute on the hour mark.

26th Sept – Liverpool 2 – 6 Manchester City (FA Premier Academy League) – After going in front early on courtesy of Thomas Ince, the Reds struggled as they were reduced to ten man after Michael Roberts was sent off just after the interval. Ngoo was sent on as a sub on 54 minutes but could not prevent City coming from behind and completing a resounding win.

19th Sept – Liverpool 0 – 3 Sunderland (FA Premier Academy League) – A difficult match for all concerned as a very good Sunderland side swept aside the Reds. Like many others, Ngoo could not get into the game.

12th Sept – Liverpool 2 – 0 Barnsley (FA Premier Academy League) – Ngoo had a good first start for Liverpool under 18s, he had two good chances to score after the Reds were already one up, the first was a great piece of inventive play manufacturing an acrobatic shot from a David Amoo cross, the second a shot he dragged wide of the goal. The young striker continued to impress in the second half, he beat two defenders before releasing a great shot which forced an equally good save form Barnsley keeper Jevan Hodgson. All in all a good first outing for Ngoo and he was substituted on 67 minutes by Tony Silva.
