Reds lining up deal for Peterson

|

Liverpool are looking into possibility of bringing 15 year old Swedish starlet Kristoffer Peterson to the club. The youngster currently plays for Savedalens IF, a small regional side in Sweden but the player impressed greatly during a trial earlier this month and Liverpool coaches believe he would make a good signing. Peterson, speaking to Swedish newspaper Expressen, said he was extremely excited about the possibility of playing for Liverpool, and could scarcely believe that a move was on the cards:

“I am no longer just toying with the dream. It feels like the club really want to give me a chance,”

A move to Anfield seems to be coming ever nearer, according to the player’s advisor Robert Bengtsson Barkroth:

“We understand that Liverpool are willing to offer an education package, that will include school and studies.”

According to the Swedish football website Svenskfotboll, Peterson is a winger who is very quick and runs well with the ball; he also has good tecnhique and loves being one-on-one with opposition defenders. As a winger, his favourite player is Cristiano Ronaldo but more interestingly, he states his favourite team as Arsenal. Not a Reds fan then but if he has any of the ability of Ronaldo, we wouldn’t mind his previous allegiances one bit.
