LFC Youth Watch: Tom Ince’s Match v Huddersfield

|

8th May – Liverpool 4 – 0 Huddersfield Town (Premier Academy League) – Liverpool Under 18s ended their season with a flourish after a 4-0 victory away at Huddersfield. Tom Ince was the star performer in the match as the left winger scored two goals to help the Young Reds extend their streak to ten games unbeaten. Reds hopeful Raheem Sterling also started the match on the other wing and the youngsters dominated the match against the Terriers on a difficult surface. Liverpool striker Michael Ngoo opened the scoring before defender Conor Coady put the team into a 2-0 lead. Ince then scored a clinical double to help the Under 18s to a convincing win. The victory means the Academy team finish with 45 points from 28 games in a topsy-turvy season which ended on a very high note after some inconsistent early season form. Ince himself will hope his form will give him a promotion to reserve team duties next season.
