Liverpool legend Robbie Fowler has stated he would love to manage Liverpool one day. Although he believes he is currently a “million miles away” from doing that due to the fact he is still playing and has no coaching experience, he believes it would be a great aspiration to have after his playing career ended. He told Perth Glory’s official website:
“When I do finish playing, the coaching side and the management side is something I would probably go down. I would like to go down that route and in an ideal world I would go back to Liverpool. I’m a local lad and I’ve played for the club. I’m not saying for a second that I’m going to be the next manager, but it would be nice. I’m not kidding myself, I’m a million miles away from managing Liverpool. I’m still playing, maybe in the future I’ll do all my badges and go through the lower leagues and become a manager that way. As a player you always aspire to be the best and as a manager you probably need to start at the bottom. Once you start on that little ladder then you can aspire to be the best and in terms of management you really can’t get higher than Liverpool.”
Fowler has only recently joined Perth Glory in Australia after his previous club North Queensland Fury collapsed due to financial problems.
I Love Fowler!!! Still my all time favourite! Hope he comes back and win some trophies with us… be it as manager or coach or in whatever capacity…he deserves it.

fowler is god , was a great striker is a great man, and is a huge liverpool fan, and is a liverpool local boy. thats where it ends,, full stop, he isnt even close to managing lfc, he will not be for years, and for fowler to start talking about rafa when he has never done a day of managing in his life is total crap, people think its easy and for me, all the old beer drinking old sadd men like houghton whealen, and all pudits, if they think its easy and they can do a better job then come on then, where all you? all mouth and all crap, just look at lawrenson,,, all day long he goes on about rafa this rafa that, well you put your money where you mouth is you irish cun* you,,, all mugs,, can they really do a better job then rafa er,,, NO.
Been watching football my whole life.
Never was a player I enjoyed watching more than the growler.
