CaughtOffside.com is reporting that Liverpool are interested in buying German midfielder Mesut Ozil from Werder Bremen. Apparently, Liverpool manager Rafa Benitez is a keen admirer of the 21 year old German international and is willing to pay in the region of £8million to secure his services. According to the website, Ozil is available so cheaply because his contract expires at the end of next season and the German club would like to sell the player for some cash before he is available on a Bosman free transfer. The versatility and the creativity of the midfielder have attracted the Liverpool boss to look in to the possibility of signing the player and with 9 goals and 17 assists this season for Bremen, he would certainly bring a different quality to the Reds midfield. Ozil has already played 8 times for Germany scoring 1 goal, and he has been selected in Joachim Loew’s provisional 27 man squad for next month’s World Cup.

Riera can ship off too, yeah he’s good on the ball but for a winger he spends most of his time coming inside off the wing and he has a servere lack of pace. Get Ozil in along with N’Zogbia, another striker and a proper left back then we will be in business!

It’s clear we need at least one more attacker, and it’s also clear we’re trying to find the best player available at the cheapest price – that’s why players with a year (or less) on their contracts are being targetted, and makes this link credible.
be happy with swapping babel and reira for mata, then buy eva for a cheap 9 mill form sales form ngog, el zhar nemeth, san jose etc. there is so much deadwood to get ride of and at the very least before anything else would raise at least 25-30 mill so id buy mata, eva and then i can dream the owners or if , and its a big if ? can buy us silva. its clear we have to duck and dive but for godsakes, we must be able to spend soon on players rather then having to sell to buy,.
