The Sunday Express is reporting that Dubai International Capital are close to sealing a £500million takeover of Liverpool Football Club. DIC, attempted to buy the club in 2007 and again tried to buy George Gillett’s 50% share in 2008, but, according to the paper, this time could be the real deal as Gillett and Tom Hicks look to sell the club this summer. DIC, is the investment of arm of the rulling family of Dubai, and Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum is prepared to invest heavily in the club. According to the Express, DIC are ready to commit funds to build the Red’s new stadium and are prepared to give the manager a large amount to spend on transfers.

Lads, 800M to buy LFC, that’s price tag the Yankees put on the club. Another 300M for the new stadium. That’s 1.1B excluding the list of players that some had suggested! Whoever the new owners are they better have really deep pockets. And why are we talking about players when we have trouble getting potential buyers?
Dubai is in financial disaster, DIC buying LFC is close to impossible, so wake up lads, it’s not gonna be easy looking for new owners!
firstly i agree with Mark, some of the so called liverpool fans we have are bohing born up on champions league manager. They just can not see the big picture. let me spell it out for some of you who no next to nothing and refuse to think that the manager future is all the matters and player sales and buys are the most that is concerning the money men at the club at the moment.
1, we have no money, hence why the yanks stole all the player sales form jan transfer window, hence why maxi, aurelio, degen, voronin, and there are others have all been free trasnfers, we paid a payment for maxi, which did not even mean much, peanuts, when we made close to 7 mill form jan sales.
2, the keane money was put into loans, as was most of the alonso money and for the prats who think they are like sky sports on saying we paid 20 mill for aquailani they are so very wrong, we paid 5 – 7 mill up front and the rest is in future payments as we go, and he is not 20 mill, its 17 buy the way!

doesn’t matter about buying players or building stadiums.. for the moment i dont feel we’re to far away from at least a good team that can regularly qfys for champs league i mean whats changed Alonso apart? not much its Benitez’s mistake either he stays and fixes it with a bit of reshuffling wheelin and dealing to make the system work again or get a new man in with his own ideas be that mourinho or whoever the most important point being its the football that matters at the moment if we start next season with 7 or 8 wins in our first 10 games alot will be forgotten to much emphasis on the money aspect has overshadowed the problems on the park when was the last time you enjoyed watchin our team we’ve been boring at best alot of the time this season…!!!
