Hodgson “mystified” over Reds speculation

|

Apparent Liverpool target Roy Hodgson has not been contacted by Liverpool and is working on bringing new players to the London club, according to the Fulham Chronicle. The report states that the Fulham manager currently has no plans to leave Craven Cottage. Quoting a source close to the 62 year old:

“No one from Liverpool, or connected with them has spoken to Roy – and he is mystified by all the conjecture over the last few days.”

Hodgson has already signed Swiss centre-half Philippe Senderos from Arsenal in recent days and is rumoured to be working on adding further players to the squad, including Standard Liege striker Dieumerci Mbokani who has been linked with a move to the London club. Mbokani was quoted in the Daily Mail yesterday saying:

“I know Fulham are interested, and they are an excellent solution for me. I hope Standard can reach agreement. If a transfer is okay for Standard, it is okay for me too – and I expect the matter to be sorted out soon.”

As great as Kenny was as a player he left our club with a squad in decline (from which we have not yet recovered)…I’m not sure he’s got what it takes nor has the knowledge required to do the business…let’s not forget, he’s been out of the picture for years.

King Kenny or Oneil should be the choice not Roy

we need more stories like this. I don’t want Roy or Martin. King Kenny Daglish is the only manager available who actually cares about this team and would put in and honest effort for the amt we pay him. David- left our squad in a state of decline? he won #18 when he left! never recovered? what do you say to two European finals in two years? what about the FA cup? The only picture King Kenny has been out of for years is the media spotlight (though he seems to be back in it quick enough), he still has a great football mind and has passion for this team I don’t see what your worry is about him if you have anything to worry about worry about the ownership who have basically shat on our club since they became owners and who still think they can get a profit off the sale of a club they have plunged into an unacceptable level of debt. When they realize that they can’t make a profit from the sale then they will put our top players torres gerrard up for sale. after the yanks have destroyed the club we’ll see if we ever “recover” to any extent. from European Champs to Premier League chumps, and you still think our club has seen a decline like this that is somehow King Kenny’s fault? get out of it we don’t need hesitating doubters like you.

Great news . Please bring on King
Kenny. Roy does not have that personality to atract great players. With Roy it will be as if 11 Lucas are playing.
