Rafa Benitez on the verge of leaving: HAVE YOUR SAY

|

Every news source from the BBC to Sky Sports is reporting that Rafa Benitez is to be sacked as Liverpool manager. A compensation package is believed to be currently being negotiated. Do you want Rafa to leave? If so, who do you think should replace him? I know emotions are high at the moment but please no swearing or I’ll have to delete the comment. Thanks.

TERRIBLE news, yh admittantly he had an awful season but lets face it he didnt change much, sold one player n the team collapsed. Various players should hang thier heads as THEY had been well under par. Lucas has practically been our best player this season, yes LUCAS(?!)I think that somes it up, but i dont see why we are going to get rid of a top manager like Rafa, when were not gonna be able to get anybody good in, especially with the way the back room is, not to mention the lack of transfer funds!

  • Bill says:

Is this Chelsea using the chairman to destroy us from the inside out. I think so

  • jojo says:

im not sure to be happy or sad, im confused, but im not surprised he is being pushed/leaving!

i would really like if the muppet show who own the club left first! our club and it is our club is in real trouble, thanks first of all to david moores and rick parry, but i can see alot of darker days ahead, torres and stevie g being sold, etc the club being sold with more debt being mounted on it.

i wish rafa the best of luck, he made mistakes but dont we all, if he had a backer like roman at chelsea and had money to buy the best players i think he’d be a truly great manager but we’ll never know at LFC. YNWL.

Playing two holding midfielders in home games is not the Liverpool way… Bring on King Kenny!
    Nevertheless… YNWA Rafa!

Liverpool will back to a square one! They think by sacking or making attempts to make Rafa resign is gonna put they back on the track? The Americans have to sell! They brought disaster to the club! IN RAFA I TRUST!

Rafa has excatly the same faulth of americans.
Rafa for first, Yanks for second: the first step is almost complete.
New blood in our dressing room, fresh air, Young Players from the Accademy, Nathan Ecclestone, Martin Kelly, Stephen Darby, Nemeth, Dani Pacheco & Damien Plessis They are hoping to get their proper chance to prove their value.
King Kenny and Good Old Liverpool’s way bring back soon.

  • Red Rob says:

This is a terrible day for Liverpool and like all true Reds I want Rafa to stay.

True Reds want Hicks, Gillett, Purslow, Broughton and the rest of their scum out now.

Time to take action to save our club now.

Support a merchandise boycott now escalating to a match boycott to get the Yanks Out now.

Protest today at 6pm outside the ground.

    Yanks Out Now.

  • Costa says:

GOOD-BYE AND NEVER WRITE US BACK AGAIN!!!

One down, two to go. The man seems to be bigger than the club and the “in Rafa we trust” brigade seem to swallow that bitter pill without complaining.

  • berno says:

Not sure if I am pleased or not. Last season clearly not good enough, I dislike his tactics, team formation and the fact he is not close to the players.

However with no money to spend on players and us unlikely to reach the top 4 next season why should he stay?

We can’t go out and poach a manager from a current club as we couldn’t afford the compensation which would mean even less money for player purchases. We would have to look at managers out of a job to keep the costs down and not really any decent candidates out there apart from maybe Pellegrini.

Likeliness is that further players will be sold like Masch or Torres, maybe even Gerrard if he has had enough.

Not an ideal situation for the club or Benitez and don’t see any logical solution.

red rob well said again, but your wasting your time with allot of the sky sports , armchair lfc fans have been talked into rafa being the one killing this great club? its got to the point where their mentality and the media in this country are happy at helping the yanks kick out a good manager who yes made mistakes but then so does everyone, wenger has won loads in 5 years has he,,, er no. i will not be wanting to know what the away kit looks like, not wanting tom know what meaningless pre season games have been lined up, whats the point untill we get new investment things are not going to happen, do you all really think buy rafa going that mean that are top players are still going to stay? what a crock of s***e and yet all the english media are now putting out a spin on ” liverpools wage bill” what a load of rubbish, we have been selling player like no tomorrow to fund player buys! WAKE UP LFC FANS ITS TIME TO ACT AND ACT NOW, ITS GREAT WE HAVE A CHELSEA SEASON TICKET HOLDER IN CHARGE OF OUR GREAT CLUB,,,! YER F**KING RIGHT!!!! BUT AFTER ALL THIS ” WE ARE GOING TO SPEND BIG” BUY OUR VERY OWN, OWNER, WHAT A JOKE,, WE ARE GOING TO SPEND BIG,,,, OH RIGHT THATS WHY YOUR TRYING TO CON RAFA OUT OF WHAT IS IN HIS CONTRACT,, IF THEY PAY HIM OFF,,, JUST 3 MILL, WHERE IS THAT COMING FROM,,,,

  • harris tsangaris says:

thank god! he always used one forward whoever we played, barcelona or my neghborhoof team!

  • Faddeo says:

Mixed feelings amongst liverpool fans including myself. part of me say “stay rafa” and a part of me say “times up”.

Judging by the way liverpool play, i say quality is the obvious reason why they drop to 7th. at times they look wonderful to watch and some days you just *yawn* and deep inside you have a feeling that this is not our day. that is cause by tactics (too defensive and less creativity)

    So… i have to say… he goes.

Money spent most on CB and CM. why CM when u have Stevie G and masch. The likes of Agger, Skrtel and Carra at CB. We have loads of talented backups like Kelly etc. CM like spearing, amoo that needs to be polish by playing in some PL games or cups (at least) Fwds like Della valle, pacheco.

Football is changing and the way football is played now is not like in 2000. So make use of the weapons like Speed/Skills which is essential in modern football. Sadly we dont have that.

Wish Liverpool are up there in many years to come and hopefully bringing back the glory days back to anfield.

  • Anubhav says:

dreadful terrible news if true.. even more dreading is the names that are being mentioned as replacement..:-(

  • Voland says:

Any remaining vestige of patience Liverpool fans may have had with the Hicks/Gillet regime has just been blown away…

  • Bujang says:

    A terrible news….
If you hate Rafa so much consider this: he only ask if he can use the money from any player sales to buy new players. He didn’t get that guarantee.
Whoever the manager will be will have limited or no money to invest in the squad and the money raise from player sales will likely go straight to RBS to pay our debt. Just like this season.
I want to thank Rafa for all that he’s done and wish him all the best.
    YNWA
