The Metro is reporting to Joe Cole is on the verge of completing a move to Arsenal. Liverpool were also said to be in the running for the England international but apparently the 28 year old’s representatives met with Arsenal officials yesterday to negotiate the terms of a contract while Cole is in South Africa with the England squad. The Metro states that the move should be finalised this week and that it should be announced before the start of the World Cup in 10 days time. With Cole demanding a sizeable weekly wage, it could have put off Arsenal and Arsene Wenger but the London club looks willing to meet the player’s demands as Wenger looks to build a championship winning team for next season.
