According to CaughtOffside.com, Rafa Benitez may try to bring Alberto Aquilani back to Italy after he is appointed Inter Milan coach. The former Liverpool boss is looking into the possibility of bringing some players with him from Anfield, according to the website, including Javier Mascherano and Dirk Kuyt. The site believes that any moves for big name players like Steven Gerrard and Fernando Torres would be rejected out of hand by the Liverpool board and so he is looking at the possibility of bringing others to the San Siro. Aquilani is seen as a potential purchase because of the Italian’s unsuccessful first season in England and Rafa could bring him back home to resurrect his fortunes. Before his big money move to Liverpool, Aquilani was seen as one of Italy’s hottest properties and Inter may be prepared to pay a good sum for the player. Any move would of couse be predicated by whether the new Liverpool manager sees the midfielder as part of his plans or whether he could be used to raise funds for new recruits.

Well, if this report is accurate, to which i am doubtful, but nevertheless if it is then Rafas true colours are starting to come through. I have never really been a real Rafa fan, but i have tried to show support, last season excluded, as last season i finally cracked and said enough is enough. Yes i wanted rafa to go, and if this true then has has lost what little respect i had left for him. I reiterate i still don’t fully beleive he would stoop to such a low, but then………
