What is it with Purslow and co at Anfield? The vacant Liverpool manager’s job needs to be filled and soon. Kenny Dalglish is the fans favourite, and mine, for the job. Yet Managing Director Christian Purslow seems determined to secure the services of Fulham manager, Roy Hodgson. It puzzles me as to why Purslow is so determined to get his man. Hodgson has not exactly jumped at the chance to manage Liverpool, despite all the overtures towards him thus far. I would ask the Liverpool MD to take a step back and offer the job to the heir in waiting, Kenny Dalglish, a man with an impeccable CV and a true Liverpool man waiting in the wings to bring back the good times to Anfield.

When the going got tough Dslglish walked out. He is not the man for the job. Yes he is a Liverpool legend and laways will be but he has not managed a football team in the last 10 years and things have moved on considerably in that time.
Dalglish is the greatest player ever to grace the grass of Anfield, but as a manager he is not up to the job. In his last to jobs he was sscked, Newcastle and Celtic,
I am a fan of LFC and of what Dalglish achieved as a player, but it is now time for liverpool to take the bull by the horns and appoint the best man for the job and get liverpool back to where they belong back at the top of the league, for too long Liverpool have been taking the cheap option. Lets’ appoint the best there is aveilable and I’m sorry to say it but that is NOT KENNY DALGLISH.
I can only have a assumption why its taking this long? Wait for world cup to finish and see tge managers available? The likes of lippi, hitzerald (swiss), capello, tabriz (uruaguay), dunga. Another thing is to wait for the players gerrard, torres, carragher, to be freed up and allow them to be involved in the selection process? Finally i think daglish ought to get it. Hodgson woukd have to be really cynical to even consider himself knowing everyone wants king kenny. Be a man like harry rednapp.
I still have doubts regarding Mr Purslow’s intrests ? he is a self proclaimed Chelsea fan and would question that he is fully commited to getting the best for LFC ? not so long ago he was quoted as saying Torres should leave LFC and it just so happens Chelsea are an intrested party ???this among other statements & actions makes you wonder ?
Christian Purslow sounds like an arrogant know-it-all puppet of G+H, it was he who declared war against Rafa and pushed him out, and he and his arrogance will keep making the wrong decisions. This club needs fans on the board – people who know liverpool and football.
wish people would get facts straight – purslow isnt a chelsea fan (he supports LFC) and has brouhgt investments into the club in terms of better sponsorship deals.. i dont see the problem with him.. allthough i would take dalglish over hodgson
Till, Purslow was brought in to sell part of the Club for £100m. Ian Ayre is the Commercial Director in charge of sponsorship. Purslow is a city suit who has got too big for his boots. His abject failure to do the one thing he was brought in to do should have led to his sacking or resignation. Instead, he’s become an arrogant dictator who effectively removed a world class manager who stood up to him and the Yanks. He wants Roy as a puppet, alowing him to run the club as he wishes.
It makes u laugh when people judge others without giving them a chance, Roy H has a good track record in management and that should allow him a chance, if King Kenny was not happy with what is going on he would of walked, that tells me that he supports the future plans, facts state that Mr purslow has brought in more investment than lfc have had before, one thing that might be worth pointing out, what if the club has been sold and the deal involved sacking rafa? installing a manager of the new owners choice, this seems to be the best financial sense and money makes the current owners tick, so maybe they is more to this than we currently no?
