Fiorentina awaiting Roy’s decision over Insua

|

Italian newspaper Il Giornale della Toscana states that Fiorentina are hopeful of signing Liverpool left back Emiliano Insua. The Florence club were all set to sign the 21 year old Argentine but the deal has been slowed down by the appointment of Roy Hodgson as Liverpool manager. They are now having to wait for Hodgson to assess the state of his squad before the manager finally makes a decision on the player’s future, and he wants to know what money will be put at his disposal to find a replacement for the player if he allows Insua to leave. The Reds will get €4million if the sale goes ahead and Hodgson may want to ensure he has a replacement lined up before sanctioning any deal, especially with the departures of left backs Fabio Aurelio and Andrea Dossena in recent times.

Can you print the actual quote and source?

Something I was hoping when Roy got the job was maybe us still hanging on to Aurelio because Fulham were supposed to be offering a deal to him when Roy was still there. Ideally doing that would make sense and THEN sell Insua and sign Fig.

Sell Insua and sign Reto Zieglar but if can get Kolarov is more better……

yus, man city have been linked with kolarov which means we are automatically out of the running but it could open the door for us to sign either onouha or bridge from city. this is a HUGE season coming up for Lfc, our star players might just give roy one season to turn things around and i’d prefer it if he tried this with players with premiere league experience

Please sell him because he is an absolute liability.

Not going to jump on the Kolarov and Ziegler bandwagon though just because they have been linked with other clubs of late. One mention of them in the papers and every Liverpool fan wants thinks they’re the best things since sliced bread…..much like Roy H.

lee, totally agree, i bet a lot of fans have probably not even heard of some of the players linked!

sell him for around the reported fee, around 5.5 mill, and yet again make more money for the club, but where is this money going, oh wait i know to those fucking cunting yanks….
