Liverpool in talks with Inter over Masch sale?

|

Liverpool have opened discussions with Inter Milan over the sale of Argentinean captain Javier Mascherano, according to the Guardian. The Italian club have made an approach for the player and the paper believes Roy Hodgson is prepared to do a deal at the right price. It is believed that the Reds want at least £25million for the player as the Liverpool manager wants funds to continue his restructuring of the playing squad. Mascherano has been unsettled on Merseyside for a long time after a move to Barcelona was rejected by Rafa Benitez last summer, and it seems clear that the Argentine would like to join up with his former manager at the San Siro.

Its funny how Rafa wouldn’t sell him for less than 50m last season, but now wants him for 25m. I say put him up for the full 50m that Rafa thinks he is worth..

Inspired signing by rafa (I condemn racist character deformation no matter how ‘funny’ you think they are). Only time will tell how good the young players rafa assembled really are. I personally think the racist contingent will be eating their words in 2 years time.

Masch has to go as good as he is – his sulking was a major disruption in the beginning of last season.

I agree sell him. I don’t trust him. He has that funny look in his eyes- I think given the chance, and he wouldn’t go to prison for it, or in any other way experience significant harm, he would eat people.
I wish people would not bash rafa so much. I still believe given more funding he would have brought us the title before long. I like the way he got us playing (not last year obviously) and whatever crazy things people say these days, his purchases were much better than Houllier’s. I’m sure he’ll do well at Inter.

Let him go for 25m ,o god we can get much better players than him .,hes not worth 5m ,,we so what German did to him ..haha sell him fast so we can use the money by buying good players before too late..

I do like Masch as a player, he give it his all and when it comes to hard challanges he is second to none. However, Alonso leaving last season exposied the weaknesses in his game with out a player next to him with the passing ability he didnt look the same player.
But to be truthful i would be happy to give him another season if it wasnt for his attitude. You wouldnt think we rescued him from the hammers sub bench a couple of years ago. I dont want any players at the club that dont want to be there.

I say take the money and spend 10mil on Parker, I think he would make the holding role is ownand can pass too. that leave 15mil to go in to the kitty too strenthen.

    against those U.S.A. Gits.
Its time now to get your LOYALTY
    behind ROY.

Slap a 30 million price and if Inter give that money, sell him.If he is so disloyal, sell him NOW.the last three seasons he’s been linked with an exodus!!If he doesnt want to play for us,Mascherano OUT now.

Please have a bit more respect for a former Liverpool manager who guided us to 2 European cup finals and transformed us from a Uefa cup team to European heavyweights again.
The guy deserves a little more respect than the fat Spanish waiter remark.

  • Warnock says:

hopefully he doesnt ruin Inter like how he ruined Liverpool FC. brought in so much of flops & poor Woy have to get rid of them & find replacements.

  • Kopchoir says:

Do you remember the houllier squad I’d rather have this one any day of the week.
And as we are on the subject of squads rafa Benitez spent 20 million net than Martin oneil did at villaamd raga was there a year more.
Some of you really need to open your eyes and see the bigger picture competing with villa financially shocking really
