La Stampa in Italy is reporting that Liverpool manager Roy Hodgson may use his Inter connections to loan the Italian club’s young Slovenian midfielder Rene Krhin. The paper believes that Hodgson has already contacted his good friend Internazionale president Massimo Moratti over the possibility of a loan deal for the 20 year old. Krhin broke into Inter’s first team last season, making five appearances for the Italian club after spending the last three years making his way through the youth ranks of the club.
He was bought from Maribor in his native Slovenia at just 16 before he had even made a first team appearance and had been playing in Inter’s youth ranks until last season. He signed a new contract last campaign and was called up to Slovenia’s World Cup squad despite his lack of first team experience. He has been touted as one of the most promising young midfielders in Europe and he has been linked with Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea in the past, but Roy’s connections with the Inter hierachy could secure him a temportary deal ahead of any other party.
he is SLOVENIAN not slovakian!!!
Sorry guys, my mistake, wasn’t thinking.
Krhin & 20 mil euro x Masch. Yeah!

Do you guys wanna get a room?
sorry, i just warned there is a mistake, thats still allowed huh?
I heard he was from Bratislava
nope, he is from Maribor, Slovenia..
couldn’t tell you where he’s from girls, never bloody heard of him!
@ steve – exactly mate, why the hell are we signing 20 year old utility players for. ive had enough of us trying to buy for the future, its the reason why we are in this mess!! enough with the kids, lets get some established players in!!
I think this is all rubbish, Woy still has to take a look at our own reserves, and people who have been out on loan all last season.
If he’s from Slovenia, he must be rubbish
He’s a good player but why should we loan him ? If we were buying him that would be different, as in he would be ours to mould but why should we do it for Inter. Moreover we have enough Central Midfielders and we need to take care of our own talent before we look after some other teams youth.
