Reds midfielder off to Portugal?

|

Out of favour Liverpool midfielder Damien Plessis will be allowed to leave for Portugal, according to the Daily Mirror. Benfica are said to be tracking the 22 year old and are prepared to offered £600,000 for the player. The paper states that the Reds are keen on a transfer, rather than any loan deal as they want to free up extra funds for Roy Hodgson. Since making his debut in an away draw against Arsenal in April 2008, Plessis’s career has kind of stalled, and although he signed a new contract with the club until 2012 back in October, it lools likely that the young Frenchman will leave Anfield this summer.

Any chance of swapping him for fabio coentrao or Lucio?

  • VM says:

There would be no chance of a straight swap with coentrao more like plessis and 10-12mil

sell him lazy, looks half arsed and for me spearing is better and i would rather have to sell this guy then shift another local lad out, lets get 1 mill for him as i think we might get close to that, maybe 700.000 and thats it for me, more money coming back to the club, now the rest degen, itandge, cavalerli, el zhar, these should not even be at the club ?

i am thrilled that we are again being linked with taiwo today BUT if we could engineer a cash+player deal involving plessis and coentrao that would be even better!
