Lille winger and rumoured Liverpool target Gervinho has expressed for the first time his desire to leave the French club. The 23 year old Ivory Coast international said:
“It may be time for me to leave. What interests me is not just leaving. I enjoy playing time and want to flourish. I will not go at any price. It takes a club more ambitious than Lille. I intend to resume training with the squad and I’ll see how to handle this situation. I know that I am still under contract with Lille. In addition, the atmosphere is wonderful there. It’s a good group, a team of the future. My intention is not to make a hasty departure.”
Gervinho had previously stated that he would stay at Lille next season but his comments make it clear that he is considering his options.
If Liverpool were to be buying Remy and Gervinho who is going to be sold to pay Mascherano is looking more likely each day.
Masherano wanted to leave Liverpool. Let him go for at least 30m. What i know Liverpool always sell their playes cheaply. I think Babel & Reira should leave too.
no thanks for any of the above, no thanks,,, they might be fast, and be fit and strong but id rather turan and eva is banega if mascherano goes, its looking like that is the plan, to drive the price up for the little greedy prick,, get the argie out and spend the money on 2 or 3 players, adding the 12 mill that roy has. keeping gerro and nando but with mascherano going i can well deal with, AS LONG AS THE WHOLE CASH GETS PUT BACK INTO THE TEAM..
samuel charles, lay off Javier! If he wants to leave then let him go but his reason won’t be for a pay rise. It really isn’t Masch’s fault he he does get sold, we need money to buy players and selling Riera, Degen and the like isn’t going to bring in enough to buy more than 1 decent player.
If Javier does get sold then I’m all for buying Banega for 10m, Taiwo for 8m, Turan for 12m and then selling Kuyt for 8-10m. Use that cash plus the 12m and find a legit Striker.
