FIVE Formal Offers but Kirdi is not one of them?

|

The Daily Telegraph is reporting that Liverpool have received five formal offers for the club. According to the paper, Martin Broughton and Barclays Capital hope to conclude the sale within a month and a source close to the process believes that Kenny Huang, the only bidder to have gone public with his interest, is one of the five and is a serious contender. Yahya Kirdi though, who had stated he would conclude a deal for the club within a week, is believed to not be one of the formal offers, although according to the Telegraph there is a bid from the Emirate of Sharjah on the table, who was believed to be at one point Kirdi’s backers.

Huang please mainly for the way he could get us into the chinese market which could bring in lots of money for a long period of time so that the owners wouldnt have to use much of their own money but hes the only one i know about sooo we will see.

  • Zahid says:

This isnt news we all knew Kirdis bid was a hoax, hes linked with the Gillett family and is only pretending to be interested so that Kenny Huang the front runner pays more to take control. Why would Kirdi do this??????? as a favour to Gillett for letting his son train at Melwood along side the players……YNWA

  • Rob McCormack says:

I fear that the Telegraph are merely speculating, however I would not be surprised if the Kirdi bid turns out to be nothing more than an attempt by Gillett and Hicks to push the asking price up.

All will become clearer in the next few weeks I think, until then I think we should brace ourselves for more speculation, reaching fever pitch as we approach the endgame.

Kenny and the Chinese please, solid backers and not yanks!

  • Simon says:

Why does everybody seem to think that Huangs offer is solid? There has been no proof of funds from anybody as yet. Until such time as proof is demonstrated I will remain skeptical

Due to all the talk and rumours,I would rather we are bought by a group that has not been trying to negotiate in the press. As for Kenny Huang he obviously sounds better than Kirdi and the americans but his smooth talking reminds me too much og Gillet when he first arrived.

we just need sum1 in who cares about our club & build our new stadium y.n.w.a.

  • Red Sky says:

one thing as far as Huang is concerned that I found to be interesting was the fact that he took time out to meet with SOS to get an understanding of what the club really stands for. (as the media had reported)

  • Ben says:

@ Simon – no one has provided US with proof of funds, but you would hope that they have done so to the club? I don’t think the press have anything to go on at all so just do what they usually do – make it up!! I can understand each bidder playing their cards close to their chest as they wouldn’t want the other interested parties knowing what they hold then trying to trump them!

  • Joe says:

^RedSky, same here pal, realising how important fans are and taking time out to create a dialogue with SOS was a big point for me too, coupled with the fact they see the club as an investment as opposed to some trinket is reassuring to say the least.

its true what someone has said and its lodgical kenny huang is the only one that has put a bid and gone public about taking over are beloved club and with him coming from china would bring in some serious money into are club or why dont they just phone d.i.c and ask them if they are intrested in buying the club before david moores sold it to the yank scum d.i.c have vast amount of money and a liverpool himself

  • m kop says:

By now they all should have proved they have founds or their bid wouldn’t be considered.
I just hope the owners will not make it difficult for Broughton to complete the sale and it will be over before the end of this month, or at least I hope!

kirdi is just a scam artist for the yanks which ne1 with half a brain could see ,huang just wants his name in the papers to up his profile worldwide and is using LFC to do it ,fans should stop speculating and worrying, if broughton is a tenth the businessman he and the press make out then we are in good hands,LFC will never walk alone
