Genoa deal for Reds Defender collapses?

|

Reports coming out of Italy suggest that Liverpool defender Emiliano Insua’s proposed move to Genoa has collapsed. The Italian club are said to have taken an interest in the player after the Argentine’s proposed move to Fiorentina fell through, but it looks as though a move to Genoa has also stalled over wage demands. Insua is apparently demanding  a contract worth €2m a season, a figure that Genoa president Enrico Preziosi is not prepared to match. The move to Fiorentina previously collapsed apparently because sporting director Pantaleo Corvino could only offer Insua €800,000 a season.

yet another summer with these con men yankie owners who yet again are killing this great club.

liverpool have had 5 free players move to the club in their time? can you really tell me who ever runs the team side, that we have a dream to be the top of the league when can not even spent 10 million on a good left back, yet again another crap transfer market, joe cole or not joe cole.

enough is enough,,, its time kick them out and i have had enough, so much so, that i hope the banks just take over and make the sale more of their business… what a dreadful market for lfc again????

I think we have done very well in the transfer market considering the non-exisitent transfer budget. We finished 7th last year and 2nd the year before with much the same team. The players know they need to put a good shift in this season.
If they don’t and if the investment comes in then only a very few of them will be retained.

Yanks out and with no profit. They’ll probably show their true self-interest by delaying any deal that doesn’t give them an undeserved profit. At the same time the bank’s interest will accumulate, transfer funds will not be available, building work on the new ground would be delayed and they will probably try to load the club with the legal bill for any legal challenge to a buy out agreement they don’t want.

I think we sit tight and trust in the new manager and the team. A lot of us trusted in Benitez. He struggled to get control of tranfers to then find the cash had all gone missing. Three seasons in a row we operated on a profit in respect of transfers.

Roy is having to wheel and deal too. Don’t know enough about Poulsen to comment. As Mascherano wants out, he must go. Can Spearing not do a job?

With Agger, Carra, Gerrard, Skertel around him surely he can be given a chance.

Also the youth players have to be blooded this year. By accident rather than design they have featured in pre-season matches. However they need to be afforded an opportunity. If the decision is that they are genuinely not good enough then they have to be let go.

One thing though, we need to play an attacking style of football. It’s a simple game when played correctly. With the ball we need players that can pass and move, create time on the ball, find the final pass and shoot on target. Without the ball it’s about drilling and hard work.

I think we’ll be ok this season and better than the 6th Place Lawrenson reckons we’ll finish.

    Liverpool for the title.

Surely the money from sales is available there has been a few sold and not replaced the money for Mash could be spent well.
With that sale there should be around 40 mill or more in the kitty to spend from all sales.
The supporters deserve quality so where is it the rumoured targets are even unimpressive.

  • Hello everybody, This website is high-quality and so is how the issue was developped. I like some of the comments too even though I would rather we don’t err from the main point in order add value to the message. It will be also encouraging to the one who penned it down if we all could share it around (for many of us who use social media such as a digg, twitter,..). Again, Thanks..
